Un dels millors textos que he llegit sobre el tema de la cultura és un article de John Casey titolat "Culture in contention" publicat pel diari "The Sunday Times" el 13 de març del 1994 (pp 8 a 10).

L'article comença així:

"Why is the word "culture the most contested in the language? The truth is that
none of us quite understands what we mean by culture. Yet it is an idea over
which passions run high" (...)
